Basis for Resistance

The thing that is dangerous and fateful is the fact that Norwegians in posts of the highest national responsibility contribute to what is impending and is likely to have the gravest consequences in future for our people’s morale and self-respect, its will and capacity to keep itself upright and one day rise again…The struggle against the political pressure and against a subversion of the mind had to be taken up at once, or else the basis for other forms of resistance at a later period would crumble away.
