Evangelicals

While sincere in their environmental sentiments, they are clearly more into the power of prayer than the power of organizing. For the most part, the creation care adherents do not attend public meetings, write letters to the editor, or participate in civil actions to bring about more just or sustainable remedies. What they do, by and large, is generate intense spiritual feelings within themselves and their groups that in turn share these pious vibes online and at church conferences.

That said, they are immensely preferable company to the frothing mouth fire and brimstone eternal damnation variety we’ve come to know and loathe. When it comes to the faithful, our choices are somewhat limited.
