Alumni/ae Demands

On Sunday August 12, the alumni/ae working group drafted a priority list of demands to propose to the independent alumni/ae association for support. That list is as follows:

1.Board of trustees elected by students, faculty, staff and alumni/ae
2.Board term limits.
3.Faculty tenure system
4.Union representation for all employees
5.Alumni/ae have full participation in governance

We discussed other concerns, but resolved that these are the most urgent and comprehensive in addressing our ability to democratize New College in accordance with academic custom and federal law. Comments appreciated.
