Two Stooges
We were heartened to see there were only two dissenting votes in the U.S. House of Representatives against the bill making it unlawful to traffic human beings for the purpose of sexual exploitation. We suspect the two opposition votes were probably by stooges of the US Chamber of Commerce, that was afraid of setting a precedent against modern forms of slavery. After all, someone might get the idea to extend the concept against offshore sweatshops, too.
