San Francisco Tradition
An astute correspondent notes:
The purge patterns of New College faculty are highly unusual on any campus. The purposeful traumatic and horrific escalations that disabled any cohesive concerted effort to challenge anti-democratic governance there would have students in open rebellion anywhere else. Where is the picket line, the boycott, the civil disobedience customary in 1960s San Francisco? Has this pro-democracy tradition been bred out of youth raised on mandatory testing and virtual reality?
