Seven Year Stretch

Federal judge orders 17 Uighur prisoners, wrongfully detained at Guantanamo, released to his court. After seven years imprisonment, the innocent refugees from Western China — caught up in the 2001 chaotic US military sweep in Afghanistan — appear close to freedom. Appeals court stays order at request of White House.
