Fighting for Our Lives

Perpetuating poverty as a system of social control is not a revolutionary concept, but the collision of militarized enforcement of this political system with the movements for self-rule aren’t likely to perpetuate familiar forms of conflict ad infinitum. At some point, possibly due to the growing momentum for self-determination by indigenous peoples, social conflict between the destroyers and the creators will undergo an unexpected qualitative change. That change in the nature of fighting for our lives is most apparent in the convergence zone of autonomous movements exemplified by Zapatismo; another world is possible.
