Clash of Values

According to indigenous peoples worldwide, surviving climate change requires reliance on the resilience and adaptability of indigenous customary laws, not the exclusionary laws of commerce developed by corporations seeking monopolies. As indigenous peoples confront UN agencies like the World Intellectual Property Organization over the theft of their traditional knowledge and destruction of their intellectual property, the clash of values between industrial and indigenous societies will escalate. Already, the choice between greed and generosity has become literally a choice between survival and extinction.
