Deadly Dust

Stephen Lendman reports on the death by fibrosis catastrophe in India’s gemstone industry. Produced largely for export to the United States, cheap gemstones are manufactured by children in sweatshops lacking basic health protection facilities, causing deadly fibrosis for workers, their families and neighbors. American consumers, flocking to bead shops and online jewelry outlets, are mostly unaware of this travesty.
